A research unit dedicated to prevention

URM ReMPArT (Multidisciplinary Research Unit for the Prevention of Road Accidents and Trauma) was founded in May 2017. It is attached to the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the Comlan Alfred Quenum Regional Institute of Public Health (IRSP-CAQ), at the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC).

The first prospective cohort of road accident victims in West Africa: 1,871 people recruited between July 2019 and January 2020 across 5 public and faith-based hospitals, with longitudinal follow-up at admission, 6 months and 12 months.
